In a small stream like this, you can expect to find sand or gravel sized sediments being transported. You can also expect the sediments being transported to be poorly sorted since a stream can carry various sizes of sediments, depending on the size of the stream and flow speed. Sediments in this stream would more times than not, be more rounded than angular. This particular stream would be considered a low energy environment since it's so small and move slowly. I noticed further down the stream, a sediment trap. There was a buildup of sediments at a little ridge, because that part of the stream was not deep enough or fast enough to move those sediments over that rock. If the sediments in this stream were to be compacted, a sedimentary rock would be formed.
